Originally from San Diego, California, I was lured to the southeast by its beauty and “southern hospitality.” I currently practice therapy and counseling based services in the Metro Atlanta area, which include office locations in the city of Lawrenceville and Snellville, Ga. With more than 10 years of experience, I have worked with various populations including the individual/family in crisis; juvenile probationer; abused/neglected children and elderly; substance abuse; as well as college students. Fully believing that children are the future, I enjoy speaking to at risk high school students to provide inspiration and guidance for their future endeavors. Other interests are traveling, music, community service and spending time with husband and two sons .
My approach to counseling is Eclectic, which basically means I will draw from the best forms of therapy that fits my client’s needs. In general, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, and Strength-based therapeutic techniques.
I am a spiritual person that practices Christian values. I welcome the possibility of including your faith/beliefs in therapy, but will in no way impose upon any client. I can respect the different backgrounds and beliefs my clients may have. My driving purpose is to help, in a facilitative manner, each client to aid in overcoming life challenges. Better yet, to collaborate with clients to have the life they love.
